I use a compact cam Canon (completely manual) and on this mount an optical for a 35mm camera reversed ( 50 milimeter Nikon f/1.8) the shots are often taken with short times of exposure (1/400 or 1/500) and the use of the flash is indispensable. the trouble is that the Canon A80 does not support external flash and and so I use a panel with a white background of parabolic shape to reflect it. I zoom x3 (about 100mm) and open to the maximum (f/1.8) in 50mm in order to avoid vignettings.
you can take good macroshots but the field of focusing is much strait (about 2 milimeter)......and this is really a great great trouble....
Amazing, what you can bring out with this "technic"
I also have a compact cam, til now I wanted a DSLR, but I think I only will buy lenses for the compact
(how did you know, what brand is compatible?)
so.. what about yuor experiment???

Mi ricorda un'epoca passata in cui fotografare costava molto e c'erano pochi soldi...
E' commovente, ed allo stesso tempo confortante.
Bravo, buona realizzazione.
